Plan Tomorrow From Your Calendar and Tasks

A message that turns tomorrow's calendar and your task list into a realistic time-blocked plan with a top three, without touching either one.

You want to start tomorrow knowing exactly what to do first, instead of spending the first hour deciding. Saves about 20 minutes

The recipe

Goal: Build a realistic plan for tomorrow from my calendar and my task list, so I start the day knowing what to do first. Context: Tomorrow's calendar: [CALENDAR_SOURCE]. My tasks: [TASKS_FILE]. Working hours: [WORK_HOURS]. Energy: [ENERGY_PATTERN]. Steps: 1. List the fixed events and the free blocks between them, leaving 10 minutes between meetings. 2. Choose a top three for tomorrow: anything due in the next two days first, then whatever moves my most important project forward. Say in one line why each made the cut. 3. Put deep work in my best energy window and small tasks in the gaps. Estimate each task and add some buffer; my estimates usually run short. 4. If everything does not fit, say what to move and to which day instead of squeezing it in. Rules: - Read only. Do not create, move, accept or decline calendar events, and do not edit my task list. Suggest changes as a list for me to make or approve one by one. - Point out conflicts, double bookings and meetings with no clear purpose. - If you cannot read a source, tell me and ask me to paste it. Output format: 1. The top three, one line each. 2. A time-blocked schedule from the start to the end of my day. 3. What I am deliberately not doing tomorrow. 4. Suggested calendar or task changes, if any, for me to approve.

Fill in these brackets

[CALENDAR_SOURCE]e.g. tomorrow's events pasted below, or read them from my connected calendar
[TASKS_FILE]e.g. ~/notes/tasks.md
[WORK_HOURS]e.g. 9:00 to 17:30, with a gym break at 12:30
[ENERGY_PATTERN]e.g. best focus before 11:00, slow after lunch

Pro tip

Run it in the evening rather than in the morning: a plan made the night before gives you the first hour back. Calendars connect through an MCP server (Chapter 9); until then, pasting tomorrow's events works fine.

Variation

For a whole week, ask for a top three per day and one day kept deliberately light, for whatever goes wrong.
